Phillip Norris (Phil) Brewer

Phillip “Phil” Norris Brewer, age 69, died early Tuesday at his residence. Born in Wayne County, he was the son of the late Bradford and Ethel Brewer. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, L.B. Brewer, III, James Brewer, Gene Brewer and Brent Brewer. Phil owned and operated Brewer Insurance Services for 43 years. He was a graduate of Southern Wayne High School and Elon College. Phil loved fiercely and gave freely.

A service to celebrate Phil’s life will be held by the graveside on Friday at 11:00 am at Wayne Memorial Park with Terry Coates officiating. The family will greet friends at the residence.

Phil is survived by his wife, Pamela Grady Brewer; his daughter and son in law, Meghan Brewer Best and William Ray Best; his granddaughter, Lily Raelynn Best; a special family friend, Wanda Whaley and numerous other dear family and friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to All The Kings Children Foundation, P.O. Box 614, Mount Olive, NC 28365; or the Mount Olive Hurricanes Youth Football, P.O. Box 211, Mount Olive, NC 28365.
