Malcolm Lassiter Obituary
Malcolm Wheelis Lassiter, 71, of Mt. Olive passed away at Genesis Healthcare on Tuesday surrounded by his family. He was the son of the late Nathaniel Roosevelt and Sarah Evelyn Gupton Lassiter and was the husband of the late Sybil Lassiter. Mr. Lassiter was a retired courier with Southern Pharmacy and a member or Thunder Swamp Pentecostal Holiness Church.
The family will receive friends on Friday from 1:00 until 2:00 P.M. at Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home. The funeral service will be at 2:00 P.M. in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Jonathan Altman officiating. Committal services will follow at Wayne Memorial Park.
Mr. Lassiter is survived by his wife, Joanie Price Lassiter; his son, Jimmy Lassiter and wife, Heather of Mt. Olive; a step-son, Phil Price and wife, Jennifer; two sisters, Nancy Williams of Henderson and Sarah Cogbill of Richmond, VA; and four grandchildren, Rayna Lassiter, Gabe Jernigan, Noah Price and Melinda Buckner.
He was preceded in death by a son, Mike Lassiter
