Lola Mae Laws Brock, age 88, of 430 Bennett Road, died Sunday at Kitty Askins Hospice Center. Born in Wayne County, she was the daughter of the late Luther and Eunice Bordeaux Laws and the wife of the late Wilmer Ray Brock. A member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, she was a homemaker and loved quilting as well as working in her yard.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 2:00 pm at the Shumate Memorial Chapel. Burial will follow in Wayne Memorial Park. The family will visit with family and friends from 1:00 to 2:00 pm at the funeral home.
Mrs. Brock is survived by sons & daughters-in-law, Howard and Janet Brock, Roger and Sherry Brock; daughters and son-in-law, Frances Smith and Kay & Robert Darden; brothers, Van Laws and Butch Fulghum; sister, Dorothy Williams; 10 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild.
Along with her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her son, Delmer Brock, her sister, Hilda Hill and her brother, Tommy Laws.
