Linda Pearce Holland, 72, of Pikeville passed away Saturday at Kitty Askins Hospice Center surrounded by her family. She was born in Johnston county to the late Allie Pearce Lane, and was married to the late Jesse B. Hyatt. Mrs. Holland was a retired seamstress for Americal.
A funeral service will be held Tuesday at 11:00 A.M. in the chapel of Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home with Rev. Dennis Pollock officiating. Burial will follow in Wayne Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Monday evening from 7:00 until 9:00pm at Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home.
Mrs. Holland is survived by her sons, Kelvin Van Wells and wife, Dawn of Rosewood and Bobby Wayne Wells of Pikeville; a daughter, Arlene Rose and husband, Jerry of Pikeville; sisters, Pat Honeycutt of Selma and Wilma King of Selma; brothers, Ricky Bare and wife, Sue of Selma, Richard Lane of Pinelevel, Glenn Lane of Pinelevel, Jimmy Pearce of VA, and Randy Pearce of VA; grandchildren, Matthew Wells, Amanda Deaver, Dylan Wayne Wells, Austin Perkins, and Ashlea Kennedy and husband, Donald James “DJ”; 1 great grandchild on the way; and, aunt, Betsy Ingram of Rocky Mount.
