Lauren Harrell Obituary

Lauren Renee Harrell, age 31, passed away Wednesday morning at Kitty Askins Hospice with her family by her side following a courageous and hard fought battle with cancer. Lauren was born in Wayne County to Jim Douglas Harrell and Beverly Hill Harrell and was preceded in death by her brother, Doug Harrell. Lauren was a 2005 graduate of Southern Wayne High School.

A service to celebrate Lauren’s life will be held Sunday at 4:00pm at Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home with Rev. Dr. Jerry A. Jackson officiating. Family members will greet friends Sunday immediately following the service at the funeral home. A graveside service will be held Monday at 11:00 am at Wayne Memorial Park.

In addition to her parents, Lauren is survived by her children, Brayden and Caydence Kincaid; brother, Scott Harrell; grandmother, Marlene Edwards; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

In lieu of flowers, Lauren had requested that memorial gifts be directed to the Brayden and Caydence College Fund, 202 Providence Church Road, Goldsboro, NC 27530.
