Kerri Leann (Cook) Huerta

Kerri Leann Cook Huerta, 40, passed away on Thursday after a hard-fought battle with kidney disease. Kerri was surrounded by friends and family at the time of her passing.

Kerri was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Opal and Joseph Simmons. As well as her father, Robert Lee Cook.

She is survived by her loving daughter, Savannah M. Martinez; mother, Patsy Lee Cook; sister, Patricia Denise Cook; brother, Larry A. Cook; nieces, Danielle N. Vandehey and Jordan N. Ring; nephews,  Matthew T. Vandehey, and Luis G. Cook; aunt, Frances Kay Smith; as well as seven great nieces and nephews; and a multitude of other extended family.

A memorial service to celebrate Kerri’s life will be held at 202 Keith Hills Dr., Princeton, NC on Saturday June 15TH from 2:00 P.M. – 5:00 P.M.
