Julian Patrick "JP" Barnes

Julian Patrick "JP"  Barnes was born to the late Samuel Cox and Sandra Barnes Cox in Goldsboro, NC.  JP graduated from Goldsboro High School and later studied at Wayne Community College.

Still cherishing JP's memories are his wife, Ashley Joyner Barnes; children, Raekwon Barnes, Jalyn Joyner and Kyra Barnes; granddaughter, Ka’mani Barnes; mother, Sandra Barnes Cox; sisters, Jacqueline Barnes, Shanda Cox and Van Cox-Stallings; brothers, Morales and Fernandez Cox; nephews, Parrish Barnes, Tyronnie Cox and niece Jaimeya Carroll who he raised as his own. JP is also survived by a host of other family and friends.

JP was preceded in death by his daughter, Jenniyah Barnes; sister, Jennifer Barnes; grandmother, Agnes Barnes and father, Samuel Cox.

A Memorial Celebration will be held Thursday May 30th at 3pm at Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home in Goldsboro, NC.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Habitat For Humanity or the charity of your choice.
