Jerome “Jerry” Bernard Albert, 74, a resident of Goldsboro, passed away peacefully on June 7, 2019, at Kitty Askins Hospice Center after a short battle with cancer. A Staten Island, NY, native, Jerry attended City College in Manhattan, NY. He went on to obtain his PhD in Child Psychology from the University of Illinois at Champaign. What followed was a long and noteworthy career in education, clinical care, and private practice. Jerry was an avid lover of art, travel, and animals.
He was preceded in death by his mother and father, Rosalind and Max Albert of Staten Island, NY.
He is survived by his son, Sean Huneycutt; daughter in law, Alice; and grandson, Henry all of Goldsboro. Additionally, he is survived by brothers, Paul Albert of Silver Springs, MD and Howard Albert of Freehold, NJ; and a sister, Suzette Albert of Staten Island, NY.
At Jerry’s request, no formal services will be held.
