Granger Lee Brock, age 76, passed away Thursday at Wayne UNC Hospital. Born in Wayne County, he was the son of the late Perry Allen Brock and Myrtle Lee Daniels Brock. He was also preceded in death by brothers, Morris Brock, Carson Brock and Danny Brock. Granger was retired from Johnston Community College and was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Mount Olive.
A service to celebrate Granger’s life will be held by the graveside on Tuesday at 11:00 am, at the Granger Brock Cemetery, located at the residence. Family members will greet friends Monday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 pm at Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home.
Granger is survived by his wife, Freda Brock; sons, Keith Brock, Kelvin Brock and husband, Eric Carlson, and Leland Allen and wife, Miranda; daughters, Kimberly Brock, Katrina Brock Scholes, and husband, Joseph, Brittney Brock Asbill, and husband, Anthony, Lisa Stanley, and husband, Marty; sisters in law, Janice Brock, and Lynette Brock; brothers in law, Keith Beasley, Dolan Beasley, and Kenny Beasley; twenty grandchildren, Kyle Overton, Kaitlyn Brock Bell, Konner Brock, Kala Overton, Kaleb Brock, Karoline Brock Brown, Kallie Brock, Brock Scholes, Tavo Scholes, Ian Scholes, Talan Scholes, Knatehleigh Asbill, Charleigh Asbill, Zoey Asbill, Khloey Asbill, Nicole Allen, Carol Lee Allen, Dustin Stanley, Matthew Stanley, and Makayla Ridgeway; and two great grandchildren, Easton Bell, and Waylon Barr; and numerous nieces and nephews.
