Donnie Lee Strickland

Donnie Lee Strickland, age 67, was born in Wayne County to the late Clifford Avery Strickland and the late Mary Lou Futrelle Strickland. Donnie was also preceded in death by a sister, Connie Colvin. He attended Tee’s Chapel Free Will Baptist Church.

A service to celebrate Donnie’s life will be held Monday evening at 7:00pm at Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home with Rev. Dennis Pollock officiating. Family members will greet friends at the funeral home from 6:00 until 7:00pm. A committal service will be held on Tuesday at 1:30pm at Wayne Memorial Park.

Donnie is survived by his wife, Alice Faye Winstead Strickland; his son, Donnie Alan Strickland and his wife, Gretchen; a brother, Tommy Strickland; his sisters and brothers in law, Joanne and Kenneth Stancil and Patsy and Doug Wellington; a grandchild, Harper Grace Strickland; sisters in law and brother in law, Kaye and Burt Stroud, Janice Newcomb and Barbara Horrell; along with many nieces and nephews and his favorite dog, “Dutchess”.
