Barbara Gail Blackwell

Barbara Gail Blackwell, 56, passed away Saturday at Kitty Askins Hospice Center. Born in Wayne County, she was the daughter of the late James K. and Hazel Louise Gooding Blackwell. 

A service to celebrate her life will be held Wednesday, January 22, at 1:00 at Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home with Rev. Lynn Epps and Rev. James Rouse officiating.  The family will have a time of visitation immediately following the service at the funeral home.  Burial will follow the visitation at Wayne Memorial Park.

Barbara is survived by her loving siblings, Lucille B. and J.D. Glover, Sylvia B. and James Rouse, and James K. Blackwell, Jr.;  nieces & nephews, Gabby Glover, Daniel Rouse, Matthew Rouse, Jacob Rouse, Sydnie Rouse, Emma Rouse, Logan Wiechel, Connor Thompson, Jared Thompson, Zoe Rouse, Axel Rouse, Alexis Rogers and Emmanuel Rogers.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Mary Ellen Blackwell.

The family would like to give special thanks to Skill Creations of Clinton for the loving care given to their special sister.
