Archie G. Rose Sr, 89, passed away Wednesday evening at Wayne UNC Hospital. Born in Wilson, NC he is the son of the late William and Thelma Rose and was the husband of the late, Grace Rose. Mr. Rose was a retired United States Navy Chief. He had attended church at both New Heart Fellowship and Adamsville Baptist Church, and was a member of the American Legion and the Moose Club.

No formal services will be held.

Mr. Rose is survived by his sons, Archie Garland Rose Jr. and fiancé, Melissa Howard and David Kreston Rose of New Port, NC; daughter, Martha Elliott of Knightdale; grandchildren, Kristina Rose Burgin and husband, Stephen of Raleigh, Andrew Rose and wife, Devon of Raleigh, Sarah Elliott of Knightdale, and Brittany Dublin and husband, DiAndre of Wilson; and great grandchildren, Lillian, Avery, and Gabriel Burgin, Brooklyn Dublin; and many nieces and nephews.
