Alban Kent Hill

August 26, 1963 – December 16, 2019

Alban Kent Hill, 56, passed away Monday at his residence surrounded by his family. He is the son of the late James Edward and Ruth Woodard Hill. Mr. Hill was the general manager of Applebee’s restaurant. He grew up in the Antioch Presbyterian Church and loved to cook.

The family will receive friends Thursday from 1:00 until 2:30pm at Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home. A graveside service will follow at 2:30pm at Wayne Memorial Park with Rev. Andy Stovall officiating.

Kent is survived by his children, Devin Kent Hill and Courtney Lynn Hill both of Rosewood and Heather Hardison Edwards and husband, Johnathan of Deep Run; sisters, Carol Gerencser and husband, Steve of Rosewood, Linda Morris and husband, Karl of Pikeville, Donna Keen and husband, Buddy of Rosewood, and Susan Peedin and husband, Larry of Princeton; brothers, Harold Hill and wife, Evelyn, Ronnie Hill and wife, Vickie, Olin Hill and wife, Marion, and Ricky Hill and wife, Cindy all of Rosewood; grandchildren, Liam Scott Hill and Landyn Bryce Whaley; a brother in law, Herbert Hartley; sisters in law, Carol Hill and Pam Hill all of Rosewood; special friend and mother of his children, Shari Robinson; and his pet dogs, Tuffy, Coco, and Chloe.

Kent was preceded in death by his sisters, Faye Capps and husband, Ray, and Jean Hartley; and his brothers, Charles Hill and Max Hill; special friend, Gregory Hardison.
