Words are inadequate to convey the emotion when I reflect on all the memories. For a young professional just starting out in 1980 she was quite the teacher. Mr. Howell, Gail, Valentine, Jerry, Joe and David - thanks for sharing her with so many. No doubt the many memories you all have will sustain you in the days ahead. Continued prayers for the entire Howell family.

I remember meeting Dr. Howell back in the early 90s' as I was pursuing a career in the developmental area with special needs children. I worked in the Daniel Bldg in Greenville and I enjoyed the meeting and caring for the children there. Dr. Howell's movement made me admire her that much more. She has left a legacy behind and her work hasn't been in vain. I would like to send my condolences to Dr. Howell's family in this time of sorrow.

Reece, my friend, I remember this gracious lady and you from almost 50 years ago. You were very kind to help me get oriented in a new job. She did the most "for the least of these" of anyone I have ever known. Grace and peace, Mark Sumner
